From boardrooms to ballrooms, from media interviews to mission-driven movements, Valerie has led initiatives, built partnerships, managed crises and raised millions in support of causes that strengthen our community.
What connects it all is her belief in the power of people — and the impact of purposeful leadership.
Valerie’s career has taken her from the kitchens of Le Cordon Bleu in Paris to executive leadership at Caesars Entertainment, where she ultimately served as Regional Vice President with responsibilities spanning communications, community and government affairs, sales, marketing and special events.
She went on to build Morris Marketing Group, advising businesses, nonprofits and community organizations on strategy, communications and reputation. Along the way, she has served on boards, supported causes throughout Memphis and developed a deep understanding of what brings people together—and what inspires them to act.
Today, through Valerie Bearup Strategies, she brings those experiences together, working directly with organizations that need strategic perspective, a trusted communications advisor or an experienced benefit auctioneer who understands that successful fundraising begins with connection to the mission.
